Hawaii's Sea Turtles Are In Danger
		There's not much time left for green sea turtles. For years, this threatened species has been the victim of habitat erosion, poaching and illegal egg harvesting. The simple fact is that Hawaii's sea turtles will soon need to be placed on the endangered species list--one step closer to extinction--if the current rate of decimation continues unchecked. We must ensure that those who interfere with sea turtle proliferation are punished accordingly. We also need to work closely with the Hawaiian people to educate them about the long-term repercussions if honu are poached for cultural and religious traditions.
