PETA
Dear Cindy,

I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with you. After a long and hard-fought battle by PETA, the Animal Legal Defense Fund, and concerned local citizens, Ben the Bear has been rescued from abhorrent conditions at a North Carolina roadside zoo and will now live out his life at Performing Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), a beautiful accredited wildlife sanctuary in northern California.

Ben the Bear

Now, Ben is thriving, enjoying acres of rolling hills, rubbing his back on trees, bathing and splashing in his pool, and napping in soft beds of natural foliage. Click here to learn more about Ben's journey from a roadside hellhole to a wildlife sanctuary.

Although PETA was able to rescue Ben, our work to save the other suffering animals who still languish in appalling conditions at Jambbas is not over. Click here to send an e-mail urging officials to revoke its license. Let's finally see this cruelty end for good. Thank you for your compassion!

Sincerely,

Delcianna Winders
Director of Captive Animal Law Enforcement
PETA Foundation

P.S. You can help PETA save more animals like Ben from abuse and neglect by becoming a member of PETA's Investigations & Rescue Fund today.

Help Stop the Sadistic 'Fire Bull' Festival in Soria

On the weekend of 15 November, a sadistic festival called "Toro Júbilo" will take place in Soria, Spain. During this festival, balls of pitch are attached to a bull's horns and set on fire.

The bull is then released out into the streets and can do nothing but run around in pain, often smashing into walls in an attempt to douse the fire. The agony he must suffer is unimaginable. These fiery balls can burn for hours, and they burn the bull's horns, body and eyes and cause tremendous stress – all while spectators cheer and run around the victim.

Please join me in sending an e-mail to Spanish officials urging them to put a stop to this vile so-called "festival" now.
