Dear Cindy, I have some good news to share regarding the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) campaign that you took action on! Earlier this year, the USDA launched its own investigation after PETA shared with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) evidence that dogs, monkeys, sheep, mice, and other animals at UTMB were being neglected, denied vital veterinary care, and cruelly handled by improperly trained staff before and after the animals were burned, cut open, and mutilated in painful and deadly experiments. While the USDA's full investigation of PETA's complaint is still ongoing, we have just learned that an initial inspection report released by the USDA confirms PETA's allegations of abusive treatment of animals. Thank you for being a voice for the animals imprisoned in UTMB's laboratories. However, there is still more that you can do to help animals!
